The Mission of Remission
How God is using Remission
When I founded Remission, I had no idea how or if God would use it to touch the lives of Arabic-speaking millennials in the Middle East and North Africa. The first year (or two) was nerve-wracking. But God made good on his word, as he always does, and the ministry today is growing rapidly. We're reaching more people with the Gospel than ever before, and it's all because of God's work in and through us.
Remission was founded because of the tangible wave of tremendous spiritual hunger among Arabic-speaking millennials. This generation is looking for something more; something deeper than what the world has to offer. They are searching for meaning and purpose in their lives. And they are open to the message of the Gospel.
The team and I are committed to the great commission, today more than ever. Thus, we are pressing on to continued growth. We want to join hands with the Holy Spirit and grow in our ability to influence and touch lives. We want to see more people come to know Christ and grow in their faith. And we believe that God is able and willing to use us to accomplish this mission.
There is no joke about what we are doing. Doing ministry in the Middle East is tough, and we are facing challenges, often overwhelming challenges. But the Lord whom we serve is greater. With each day, we face security risks, snarky comments, tight regulations, criticism... the list goes on. However, we see God's hand at work in people's lives. We are seeing people getting discipled, the gospel going out to thousands, and lives getting transformed. This encourages us tremendously and keeps us moving forward.
Please pray for us as we continue to touch the lives of millennials in the Middle East and North Africa with the Gospel message. Pray that God would give us wisdom, strength, and courage as we face the challenges of growth. And pray that we would be a light in the darkness, bringing hope to those who are lost and searching.
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." Romans 15:13 (NIV)
